At Friday’s Givenchy Spring 2016 women’s presentation in New York, the front row was teeming with some of music, film, and fashion’s biggest names and even bigger personalities: Kim and Kanye, Hailee Steinfeld, Erykah Badu, Jennifer Hudson, Courtney Love, Uma Thurman—just to start. But our eyes caught on the epic duo of Debbie Harry and Nicki Minaj, who were captured by a Getty photographer at the precise moment of Minaj’s universe-shifting side-eye. Minaj, in a va-va-voom leopard-print dress, seems to hear someone calling her name (or maybe that’s the name of the pose), while Harry, in modest all-black, seems to not have the slightest clue who is seated next to her. But what do we know? Maybe the two left the show, went out for tea at the Plaza, discussed the state of music and bleached-blonde hair trends, and made plans to see Fool for Love on Broadway next month. One can only wonder.
