 Spain, July 8, 2015, at the conclusion of the second 'encierro,' or 'running-with-the-bulls.' At the end of each of the event's eight encierros, wild cows are let loose in the bullring for people to try their luck with, resulting in many tumbles and close calls and some minor injuries. The festival, locally known as Sanfermines, is held annually from July 6 to 14 in commemoration of the city's patron saint. Hundreds of thousands of visitors from all over the world attend the fiesta. Many of them physically participating in the highlight event - the running of the bulls, or encierro - where they attempt to outrun the bulls along a 825 meter route through the narrow streets of the old city.
