US knew flight path of plane downed by Turkey: Putin

Moscow (AFP) - President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday that Russia had given prior information to the United States of the flight path of the plane downed by Turkey on the Syrian border.

"The American side, which leads the coalition that Turkey belongs to, knew about the location and time of our planes' flights, and we were hit exactly there and at that time," Putin said at a joint press conference with French counterpart Francois Hollande in the Kremlin.
Ahead of the Hollande talks, Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan traded barbs, with the Russian leader saying he was waiting for an apology and Erdogan ruling out any such move.
Putin on Thursday dismissed as "rubbish" Turkey's claim that it would not have shot down the jet if it had known it was Russian.

Tom Cruise Hasn’t Seen His Daughter Suri For ‘More Than Two Years’

It has been reported that Hollywood actor, Tom Cruise, hasn’t seen his nine-year-old daughter, Suri, for more than two years.
It is believed that the star’s involvement with the controversial Scientology religion has prevented him from seeing his child with ex-wife Katie Holmes for “800 days”.

Tom was last seen with Suri in 2012.
Speaking to The National Enquirer, a source explained: “He doesn’t seem interested in being part of Suri’s day-to-day life. Katie does her best to be a hands-on mum but there’s no replacing her father.

What’s up with Donald Trump and ‘the women’? Not what you might think.

Donald Trump grinned out from the cover of Savvy Woman magazine in November of 1989 flanked by three women wearing big shoulder pads, high collars and plenty of kohl eyeliner.
“Trump’s Top Women,” the headline read. And the subhead: “Surprise! Mr. Macho’s Inner Circle Isn’t An All-Boys’ Club.”
Surprise indeed.

Marvel Introduces Female Wolverine in Comics — Let's Hope She Replaces Hugh Jackman On Screen

Hugh Jackman is up for one last run as Wolverine. While he has defined the character onscreen since the original X-Men movie in 2000 — appearing as the berserker mutant Logan in a half-dozen films — Jackman has made it clear that the upcoming Wolverine 3 will be his superhero swan song.
With Jackman hanging up the claws, could we see a radically different Wolverine in a future X-Men film or spinoff? The idea is not too far-fetched, especially considering Marvel Comics big reveal today.
Marvel has unveiled the first images of its newest comic-book reboot, featuring a female version of the iconic hero.
Laura Kinney takes on the titular role in All-New Wolverine. Originally known as X-23, Kinney was cloned from the original Wolverine (a.k.a. Logan) — complete with retractable claws, adamantium skeleton, and superhuman healing powers and strength — as the ultimate assassin. She ultimately renounced her origins as a killing machine and became Logan’s protégée and serving on teams like X-Force and the New X-Men.  In the current Marvel Comics continuity, Logan is presumed dead — or as dead as a comic-book character can be (long story, short: He was infected by a virus that inhibited his healing abilities and then was encased in a lump of adamantium). In his absence, “Laura will honor his memory by taking up the mantle and following in his footsteps as a hero,” according to Marvel. “She is the All-New Wolverine! And her story is just getting started.”

Revealed: The eight reasons why Chelsea are in turmoil

Revealed: The eight reasons why Chelsea are in turmoil

WITH Chelsea languishing 16th in the table with just two league wins so far, Starsport look at eight reasons why they've got the blues.

FRUSTRATED: Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho

Chelsea's opening game of the season - a 2-2 draw at home to Swansea - was overshadowed by an incident late in the game involving club doctor Eva Carneiro and physio Jon Fearn.
With the Blues already down to 10 men following the dismissal of goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, Mourinho became animated when Eden Hazard was helped from the field by his medical staff, leaving them temporarily with nine men.
The Portuguese publicly called Carneiro and Fearn "impulsive and naive" after the game.
The episode rumbled on for weeks, with Carneiro since leaving Chelsea and FA board member Heather Rabbatts criticising the organisation for its handling of the case. Mourinho faced no action after being cleared of making discriminatory comments, but it took the focus off on-field matters.

Nicki Minaj's Life Is About To Get Its Own Comedy

Nicki Minaj's Life Is About To Get Its Own Comedy

Just under a month after Nicki Minaj threw some major shade at Miley Cyrus during the MTV Video Music Awards, the pop star is headed back to television in a huge way, and it presumably won’t have anything to do with Miley. ABC Family has given a series commitment to a comedy show centered around Minaj’s life before she hit it big. They’ll need more people tuning in than just the ones that bought her last album if they want it to be a success. Not a burn, just a TV fact.

The project, which doesn’t have a name just yet, will be a single-camera, half-hour comedy that focuses on Minaj’s past, which involves her family immigrating to the United States from Trinidad in the 1990s. Audiences will see faux-Minaj grow up in Queens with her charismatic family, and will follow her down the path to her musical and personal evolution that led to her being one of the most recognizable rap artists in the country. It’s unclear at this point whether anything from her actual musical library will be used in the show, but I can’t imagine that’ll be the case. At least not until the show makes some money and possibly gets a Season 2 order. That said, Minaj will actually star in the show in some capacity, so maybe there’s some wiggle room. And until then, here's how her lyrical input will be included

UNITED NATIONS — President Obama and Russian President Vladimir Putin clashed publicly Monday over their divergent positions on some of the world's great crises, with Obama suggesting that Putin's involvement in Syria and Ukraine was harmful to international order and risks greater global instability.
